Phone Calls

Los Cabos offers visitors access to the most modern levels of communication so that you can stay plugged in, online, and connected round the clock. An abundant number of internet cafes are scattered along the touristy area and many hotels and resorts even provide wireless connections along with other services such as long-distance calls, fax and scanner services.

A public phone can be found on every corner. You can use either pre-paid cards or your own credit card. Cellular phone rental is available at the airport.

To dial a local cell phone, dial 044 + area code (624) + phone number.

To dial a long distance Mexico cell phone, dial 045 + area code + phone number

To make an international call from Mexico, dial the access code (00) + country code (1 for the U.S. and Canada) + area code + phone number.

Cellphones

There is local cellular service from Telcel and Movistar. Very few cellular services will allow you to roam in Mexico. Most cell phones will work, but they must be reprogrammed by these local service providers (Baja Celular or Telcel). We have local cellular service. Remember to have it reprogrammed again before returning to the U.S.

Computers and Internet

Visitors traveling to Los Cabos can expect to bring your laptop computer legally into Mexico. Most hotels have DSL or wireless connections in guest rooms and other public areas, and conveniently located internet cafes are abundant in both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas towns. Many cyber cafes will allow you to hook up your lap top to their network or to use a phone line.

Post Service

It costs 4.80 pesos (less than 50 cents) to send a letter or postcard to the United States. Shipping charges shown are for normal delivery. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery. Shipments via DHL from Mexico will take longer and incur additional shipping charges. Special handling and next day services will incur additional shipping charges. California residents please add 7.75% sales tax to your order. 

All UPS packages are insured up to $100. If you would like additional protection, please call for rates. All US Postal Service packages are sent uninsured. Most hotel concierge desks can direct visitors to the nearest post office and some even offer to send mail on your behalf.

Newspapers and Publications

Los Cabos Magazine 
Is published quarterly in full color, in a sophisticated glossy-paged style with an annual circulation of 240,000 copies. Various locator maps make finding your specific destination easy. Editorial features cover up-to-date changes in the Los Cabos area. Included are such details as: Changes in regulations concerning real estate ownership with a Mexican Trust, ownership through a Mexican Corporation, and vacation property ownership, the rapid growth of the golf industry; revised reviews of restaurants, shopping and sporting activities; detailed listings of hotels and resorts and condominiums; and guides to fishing areas and charters. 

Los Cabos Magazine is produced quarterly, distributed internationally, offers beautiful photography, informative editorial reviews, hotel guide and beaches information in the same perfect bound magazine size (8-1/8" x 10-7/8") used previously as Los Cabos Guide. 

Los Cabos Visitor's Guide
Produced annually for local distribution, a catalog size (6" x 10-7/8") directory, with guide listings for activities, diving, fishing, golf, hotels, real estate, restaurants, services and shopping.

Is an annual travel lifestyle publication produced for the Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau. The magazine provides visitors to Los Cabos, Mexico with information about the region’s tourist attractions, restaurants, beaches, sporting events, shopping venues and hotels and other accommodations.
