Getting around Los Cabos
Getting around Los Cabos is easier when you begin with exact locations. Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and the Tourist Corridor cover different parts of the destination. Your accommodation address and the activity's actual meeting point matter more than a general Cabo label.
Choose transport for the occasion
An airport transfer can be arranged separately from transport for a day out. Check first whether your chosen experience includes pickup. For an independent journey, compare the available taxi, booked transport or bus options for that particular route.
Before starting a taxi ride, confirm the destination, fare, currency and how many passengers and bags the quote covers. For a bus, check the current route, boarding point, fare and return service locally; do not rely on an old timetable.
Think through driving plans
A rental car may suit a trip with several independent journeys, but compare the complete cost. Ask about insurance, deposits, fuel, parking, driver requirements and any road restrictions before agreeing. Record the vehicle's condition at collection and keep the provider's assistance details.
Leave time for the return
Traffic, boarding and check-in can affect the journey. Keep a buffer before flights and fixed departures. If arriving by cruise ship, allow for tender operations and use the cruise line's current all-aboard instructions when planning time ashore.
If your trip includes a ferry through the La Paz area, treat it as a separate journey and check the operator's current route and schedule. It is not a ferry departure from Cabo San Lucas.
