Protected Natural Area Sierra La Laguna & Santiago
You will be picked-up from your hotel and you will be driven to the Protected Natural Area “Sierra La Laguna”. On your way, you will have a quick stop at the Tropic of Cancer and you will visit the former Jesuit mission church in Santiago.
Once you have arrived in the beautiful Protected Natural Area on the peninsula’s southernmost mountain range, you will have a guided walk in the middle of the Desert Oasis. While you hike along a stream of fresh water, you can admire the impressive granitic rock formations, the diverse endemic flora and fauna species, the canyons, the waterfalls, and the swimming holes.
The evolution of so many unique flora and fauna species in this granite mountain range has been the result of millions of years of isolation. Because of its highly important and contrasted ecosystems it has been designated as a global Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Furthermore, this Biosphere Reserve receives the highest amount of rain water of the state and is therefore a true oasis in the Baja desert.
There will be plenty of time to relax and to take photos of this beautiful place. Furthermore, you will have free time to explore more of this region or to refresh yourself in a pool where a waterfall cascades. While enjoying the beauty of nature, our photographer will make some nice pictures of you and your family and friends.
After your adventure in this unique Desert Oasis, you will return to your hotel in Los Cabos.
